Improvements to Marigot Bay Planned

Marigot, Capitol of Saint Martin

Moving Marigot, the capital of St. Martin, firmly into the 21st century is the goal of an ambitious undertaking to transform the bay, town and mega-yacht marina into a metropolis in paradise.

Three companies have carried out feasibility studies and submitted them to the government for selection. The plans include a completely new waterfront, expansion of Fort Louis Marina and the creation of a cruise ship pier and terminal. Depending on which plans are chosen, the government estimates that it will take between 97 and 156 million euros to accomplish its vision.
